Companionship comes from genuine communication, not from trying control a situation or the other person. When we try to control we may feel a temporary “win,” but at the expense of losing connection with Self. This kriya helps to develop real communication and a sense of companionship.
This kriya is designed to be done in a class setting, but may also be practiced with a partner at home by reading the affirmations instead of repeating them.
Part One: Hands Reflect Talk
Time is unspecified.
Part Two: Affirmations
Posture: Now sit in Easy Pose across from your partner.
Affirmations: From the minute you start talking there needs to be a range—improvement, dis-improvement, satisfaction, dissatisfaction—in your communication style. This exercise is meant to benefit your communication style.
Repeat after the teacher, or read the following:
“I shall never transport my mood.”
“I shall never transport my mood.”
“I shall never transport my mood.”
“My mood is not me.”
“My mood is not me.”
“My mood is not me.”
“I shall never transport my mood.”
“My mood is not me.”
“My feelings are my feelings.”
“I will deal with my feelings myself.”
“I will transport myself to deal with other selves.”
“I will not transport my feelings to deal with other feelings”
“I need harmony”
“Not clash.”
“I shall not be rash and transport my mood.”
“Mood is no good.”
“Mood is mood.”
“Mood is no good.”
“Mood is mood.”
“I am bright and beautiful.”
“I am bright and beautiful.”
“I am bright and beautiful.”
To end: Now assess yourself. Go inside and assess your gains. Feel it and understand your ability to communicate.
Continue for 35 minutes.
Part Three: Meditation
Posture: Sit in Easy Pose as though you were a great yogi, who has sat for 200 years at the top of the mountain, through snow, through rain, and through time-and never budged an inch.
Mantra: Har Har Har Re Har Har
This mantra is a special sound. It is a lesson in the creation of sounds that can melt the hearts of people.
Use only the tip of the tongue. Speak evenly, with a slight emphasis on Re (pronounced ‘Ray’). Re is chanted a half-step note higher than Har. Feel that when you speak, you are communicating directly, face to face with Almighty God. When you utter these words. it’s a communication with the Infinite, most beautiful thing which is called God. Whatever your image is of God, communicate with that. It may not mean anything to anyone else: but it means all to you.
Continue for 11 minutes. To end, inhale deeply and hold for 30-45 seconds. Any part of your body you feel is weak, take your inhaled breath to that area and reenergize it. Let it go. Relax.
