Kundalini Yoga for Headaches

Yogic science says the eyebrows affect the balance of the neurons in the brain. Much of the initial tension we feel when we are stressed goes to the eyebrows. Tension in the eyebrows indicates that the neurons of the brain are tired and may be the precursor to a headache.

One thing to do is to splash your face with very cold water several times and the following exercise is said to stimulate the brain and help to alleviate headaches.

The Practice

Posture: Lie flat on your back. Stretch the arms out on the floor above your head. Spread the legs wide apart.

Breath and Movement: Inhale and sit up, stretching forward to touch your hands to the floor between your legs. Exhale back down onto your back.

Continue 26 times.

Caution

If you have back problems, consult your doctor before trying this exercise.
