This 31-minute mantra meditation is to develop the frontal lobe and hypothalamus, which govern the executive functioning of the brain. Most of us need to practice stimulation and control of the frontal lobe and upper palate, which tend to be underdeveloped. In this case we use certain permutations and combinations of sounds with the movement of the tongue to get the result.
The Wahe Guru mantra connects you with the Divine and helps to lift depression. You’ll need music for the rhythm, so choose a version you like to sing along with. As you chant, notice the tongue and where it strikes the meridians on the roof of the mouth. Be accurate. Keep the spine straight for strength.
The Practice
Posture: Sit in Easy Pose with hands in Gyan Mudra, resting on the knees.
Eyes: Eyes at the tip of the nose, nine parts closed, one part open.
Mantra: Chant Wha Hay Guroo, Wha Hay Guroo, Wha Hay Guroo, Wha Hay Jeeo.
Continue for 31 minutes. Then inhale, remain in the posture, and begin Long Deep Breathing. Continue for 3 minutes. To end, inhale deep. Straighten your spine and squeeze the entire fiber of your body to create one electromagnetic field. Hold tight. Cannon breath out (exhale powerfully through the mouth). Repeat 2 more times.
Comments:
Concentrate on the sound you have listened to and chanted. The breath should be deliberate, audible, and powerful. With each breath feel God within you, and with each sound feel the Universe all around you. This power and excellence which you are creating, nobody can take away from you.
