Ra Ma Meditation for the Number 11

Yogic numerology is based on the numbers 1–11, corresponding to each of the Ten Bodies plus the number 11, which is the combined embodiment of all the other ten. This meditation calls on the harmonizing energy of the number 11.

The Practice

Posture: Sit in Easy Pose with the hands in gyan mudra. Press the tongue up against the roof of the mouth, with a slight pressure.

Eyes: Roll the eyes up to the top of the head as though you were looking through the top of the head.

Mantra, Breath, Focus: Mentally repeat the mantra, Ra Ma – sun, moon. Breathe is normally. Imagine you are looking through the top of the head into a deep blue sky where you see both the sun and the moon at the same time.

Continue for 1 – 11 minutes. Inhale, exhale and relax.
