Intuition gives us the ability to know something directly without analytic reasoning. It bridges the gap between the conscious and unconscious parts of our mind, and also between instinct and reason. Simply put, it is when we just know.
This meditation strengthens the inner knowing, bringing our intuition to the forefront as a guiding tool. Often, we find ourselves derailed from our purpose due to karma from unconscious thoughts, habits, and actions.
This brings the intuition under control. It will cut across human rationality and logic, and set you on faith.
The Gong
Posture: Sit as a yogi—as your exalted self.
Eyes: The eyes are closed.
Mental Focus: Concentrate between the eyebrows and the root of the nose. Just concentrate deeper and deeper until you reach self-hypnosis—the point where everything of you is gone. Only the pituitary point and you live. Concentrate. Amalgamate yourself. Accelerate your hypnotic trance created by the Self. Go deeper and deeper and deeper.
Music & Mantra: The gong is played (if there is no gong available, there are many gong recordings available).
Simultaneously, Ang Sang Wahe Guru by Nirinjan Kaur is played just loud enough that it can be heard when the gong sound starts to fade.
Close the eyes and concentrate and get into a self-hypnotic state in silence.
Continue for 9 minutes.
The Mantra
The gong stops, but the mantra continues. Slowly and gradually return to the sound of the mantra. Listen to Ang Sang Wahe Guru for 1 minute 30 seconds.
Then whisper it for 6 minutes.
Then chant it out loud for 2 minutes 30 seconds.
Mantra Translation: The dynamic, loving energy of the Infinite Source of All is dancing within my every cell and is present in my every limb. My individual consciousness merges with the Universal consciousness.
Continue for 10 minutes total. Then inhale deeply and tighten the whole body. Take the tongue and press the upper palate. Press it hard for 15 seconds. Let it go. Inhale again, deeply. Press the upper palate hard. 15 seconds. Let it go. Inhale deeply. Press the tongue against the upper palate. Harder, harder, harder. Continue for 30 seconds. Relax.
Comments:
You can think of intuition as divine guidance. Rather than being guided by ego, we seek guidance from God, which is led by the soul. Developing our inner knowledge can prevent many difficulties and give us a smoother ride in life. Intuition cuts across human rationality and logic, and sets you on faith.
This kriya is especially effective if practiced for at least 40 days.
